COLORADO REALTORS® RAISE $100,000 FOR COLORADO COMMUNITIES DURING 100 YEAR CELEBRATION

The Colorado Association of REALTORS® Foundation, which supports housing initiatives, education, and disaster relief statewide, will make $100,000 in grants with the funds.

ENGLEWOOD, CO–The Colorado Association of REALTORS® Foundation raised $100,000from REALTORS® at its inaugural fundraising reception, held during the Colorado Association of REALTORS® 100 Year Celebration, Conference & Expo on Oct. 21. The foundation will distribute the grants to Colorado nonprofit organizations that assist Coloradans with safe and attainable housing, homebuyer education, and housing-related disaster assistance.

“For 30 years, the Colorado Association of REALTORS® Foundation has served as the philanthropic arm of the Colorado Association of REALTORS®,” said Foundation Chair Deborah Shipley of REcolorado. “In that time, we’ve invested more than $8 million in Colorado communities across the state, helping tens of thousands of Coloradans. REALTORS® are dedicated to serving their communities and have always been the heart of the Foundation. We’re thankful for their support and we look forward to sharing the stories of the lives that are changed for the better because of these grants.”

In 2020, the Colorado Association of REALTORS® Foundation granted more than $350,000 to qualified nonprofits, providing extra grants to organizations for Covid-related housing assistance and disaster relief to families who lost homes in the Grand County wildfires. The Foundation also supported organizations providing long-term housing for veterans, first-time homebuyer education, emergency shelter for domestic violence victims, and homelessness prevention programs.

The Colorado Association of REALTORS® is the state’s largest real estate trade association that represents nearly 30,000 members statewide. The association supports private property rights, equal housing opportunities and is the “Voice of Real Estate” in Colorado.  For more information, visit www.ColoradoREALTORS.com
