Steamboat REALTORS® Run for City Council

Two of the 12 candidates running in the Steamboat Springs City Council race are REALTORS®. David Baldinger is running for District 1 and Dave Moloney hopes to be an at-large member. Both plan to address the affordable housing and rental deficit by working with the Yampa Valley Housing Authority to develop a parcel of land. Baldinger has served on the Steamboat Springs Planning Commission and the Steamboat Ski Area Base Urban Renewal Authority Advisory Committee. “The city’s oversight in land planning, zoning and annexation will be key to the ultimate success or failure of future housing solutions for current residents and future generations,” says Baldinger. Moloney was on CAR’s Legislative Policy Committee for five years, a board member for Lift UP of Routt County, which expanded a food bank, and mentored at-risk youth in music programs. “My focus will be on maintaining our quality of life while fostering an environment where young people, families and businesses can succeed here in Steamboat Springs.”
