Pueblo Colorado Listed in the Top 8 Communities for Retirement in the Nation

Pueblo Colorado, a hidden gem where those wishing to retire are flocking to live.  There are many factors to consider when planning your retirement.  The two most important include low-cost and desirability.  Pueblo Colorado has both of these qualities with the beautiful Rocky Mountain backdrop and it’s ability to stretch your dollar farther than the major bustling cities can.

Dave Anderson, a real estate agent with RE/MAX Pueblo West and spokesman for the Colorado Association of Realtors, discusses how Pueblo continues to gain attention as a retirement destination.

“I’ve always thought that and we’re hearing more agents talk that way also, that it’s a great place to retire to. That’s because it’s a nice town to live in. There’s a lot of things to do here,” Anderson said.

“Twenty years ago that was always the question: ‘What are you going to do in Pueblo?’ Now, you’ve got too many choices…. There’s just so much going on,” he said.

Dave Anderson expanded on other factors such as low traffic, great medical centers, and affordable housing that are making Pueblo a desirable option for those looking to settle down and retire.

“It’s a much easier, casual lifestyle and you still have all the amenities of a big city,” Anderson said.
