Chief Executive Officer

With a mission of “Protecting the Real Estate Industry and Making REALTORS® More Successful,” the Colorado Association of REALTORS® (CAR) serves more than 21,000 members across the state.  As Colorado’s largest non-profit real estate trade association, CAR’s team works to provide our members with education, research, advocacy and services designed to help them achieve their professional goals.

CAR works closely with 37 local chapters across Colorado and the National Association of REALTORS® to maximize every opportunity to advance the real estate profession. Our membership base is growing; our team’s strengths are exceptional; and our opportunities are limitless.  There’s never been a better time to take the helm as our CEO!

To be responsible for advancing our mission and ensuring our continued growth, our CEO will lead a staff of 19 and oversee an operating budget of over $4-million.  Qualified candidates will possess:

  • At least 10 years of progressively responsible association management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree and/or RCE preferred)
  • Expertise in financial management of a similar size budget is highly desirable
  • Proven strategic planning skills with the ability to drive timely, effective execution
  • Solid track record in building productive internal and external relationships, including working collaboratively with board members, staff and volunteers, and creating/nurturing strategic partnerships
  • Inclusive management style that inspires continuous performance improvements and motivates people to reach for bigger goals
  • Astute ability to anticipate market changes and proactively address them
  • Polished communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to easily interact with all levels of stakeholders – from individual members to political leaders
  • Residence in or willingness to relocate to the Denver area
