MRE Program Update –  November 2007

The Master of Real Estate (MRE) classroom program will be
going through critical review beginning January 1, 2008.

Curriculum and delivery methods will be fully inspected and
analyzed to ensure the program meets the quality and performance standards set by the CAR Education Services.

The MRE Work Group will test every aspect of the program to challenge the structure and integrity of the program.   Unavoidably, this will require a temporary suspension of the classroom opportunities.

While the CAR will be temporarily withholding classroom offerings, candidates will still be able to work toward the designation in 2008 while the review process is going on via the many MRE-approved online offerings at www.VanEd.com and through the 2008 MRE Premier Track. The Premier Track schedule will be released in mid-December.

Note:  Other immediate changes to the MRE include removal of the “Overcoming the Obstacles that Challenge Your Reputation,” course as a requirement and the required education objective is reduced to 90 hours.  The course itself will be reviewed, along with the other curriculum, to determine if it will remain in the program.
