Colorado REALTORS® Contribute to Harvey Disaster Relief
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – September 5, 2017 – While the rain has stopped, flooding continues in rivers and bayous in the path of Hurricane Harvey. Thousands of people have returned home to begin recovery efforts, many of them finding that they have lost everything. That’s why the Colorado Association of REALTORS® (CAR) and the Colorado REALTOR® Foundation (CRF) have teamed up to contribute $15,000 in relief assistance to help restore lives and communities most affected by Harvey.
“Our hearts go out to everyone who is impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Speaking on behalf of Colorado REALTORS® we are grateful to be able to show our support for our colleagues and their communities as they restore and rebuild,” says Mark Trenka, Chair of the Colorado Association of REALTORS®.
CAR’s and CRF’s contributions will be made to the REALTORS® Relief Foundation, a charitable foundation dedicated to providing housing-related assistance to victims of disasters. When storms like Harvey strike, the REALTORS® Relief Foundation has one goal: help families who have endured unimaginable loss. 100% of all funds collected go directly to disaster relief efforts.
“Coloradans understand all too well the devastating impact of natural disasters on people’s lives, homes and livelihoods. The REALTOR® community has responded so generously in our time of need. The Colorado REALTOR® Foundation is pleased to now extend our support to families displaced by Harvey,” states Francie Martinez, Board Chair of the Colorado REALTOR® Foundation.
Colorado REALTORS® are passionate about helping people achieve the American dream of homeownership. That passion motivates CAR and CRF to support the Foundation’s efforts to help our neighbors in need in Texas and Louisiana.
